we say yes to.

Refurbished computers, given free to neighbors who need one. Any brand. Any operating system. Any age. Working or not. We take laptops, desktops, tablets and peripherals, restore them on our bench, and hand them to El Pasoans who need a computer and don’t have one — students and seniors first.

We have not turned anything down yet. If it plugs in, has a screen, or came in the box with something that did, bring it. What we can’t restore we part out or recycle responsibly — you don’t have to sort it, and you don’t have to guess.

Three steps, and only one of them is yours.

  1. Donated

    You hand it over

    Book a pickup and we come to you anywhere in El Paso, or drop it off if that is easier. One laptop or a storage room. No sorting, no cleaning it up first.

  2. Refurbished

    We wipe it, then fix it

    Every drive is erased before anything else happens, and you can ask for written confirmation. Then it goes on the bench: parts, memory, a battery, a fresh operating system.

  3. Given away

    Someone gets it

    It goes to a person here in El Paso who was nominated by somebody who knows them. Free. No repayment, no strings, no application fee.

Tell us roughly what you’ve got and when you’re around. We’ll confirm a window and come get it. You do not need to know whether it works, what is in it, or what it’s worth.

A student without a laptop. A neighbor filling out job applications on a phone. A grandparent who wants to see the grandkids. Tell us about them — or about yourself, which counts just the same.

Before anything else

Your files never make it to the bench.

The first thing that happens to a donated machine is that its drive gets erased. Not “files deleted” — overwritten, so nothing is recoverable. Ask when you book and we’ll send you written confirmation once it’s done, with the machine’s reference number on it.

If you’d rather keep the drive, pull it out before we arrive, or hand it to us and watch us take it out. Either is completely fine and happens more often than you would think.

Drives that fail to wipe are destroyed, not resold.
